Nestled amongst the red soil of the Childers cane fields, Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream came from humble beginnings in 1996 when Anthony and Teena Mammino decided to sell macadamias on a roadside stall. This stall expanded when Teena decided to try adding macadamias to her grandmother’s old-style ice cream recipe.
Mammino’s now manufacturing and selling one of the largest ranges of macadamia nut ice cream in Australia. There are six macadamia flavours, five fruit and eight other flavours made today. Two of their flavours are made using the famous Bundaberg Rum. Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream offers gluten-free options and also produce two dairy and gluten-free fruit sorbets, made with real fruit.
Sadly in 2017, Anthony passed away, and the business was sold to his cousin Leo Ricciardi and his wife Helen. They still manufacture the product to the exact same recipe using the same top of the range ingredients, which makes the ice cream so special.
Mammino Gourmet Ice Cream is distributed to approximately 30 outlets throughout Queensland, as well as catering our products at major events throughout the State.
