Where To Stay Hawker, Flinders Ranges, South Australia
Rawnsley Homestead is a luxury two-bedroom home offering spectacular views of Wilpena Pound and the Chace Range.
Built in the 1950’s from local stone hand-quarried from a rocky outcrop, Rawnsley Homestead offers all the ambience of a traditional Australian Outback home – including wide verandas, thick stone walls and galvanised iron roof – combined with a spacious, contemporary interior.
Secluded and private, the property features an outdoor shower, swimming pool, large living area and dining room, original pine flooring, gourmand’s kitchen and two king bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms. It’s ideal for couples holidaying together or a family.
The homestead, formerly known as Arkapena Homestead, is located on the 12,000 hectare Rawnsley Park Station.
A five minute drive from reception, homestead guests have full access to Rawnsley Park Station facilities, including The Woolshed Restaurant which serves lunch and dinner seven days, four-wheel-drive tours, scenic flights and bushwalking trips.
