Wuthering Heights
Where To Stay Stanley Flat, Clare and Gilbert Valleys, South Australia
Wuthering Heights offers dog-friendly accommodation in three quaint, cosy cottages, separately located on 35ha of rolling hills and trees in the Clare Valley.
Cook up a country breakfast in the well-equipped kitchen with the local farm produce provided. Wine or port is also supplied in each cottage.
Toast marshmallows beneath a star-studded sky sitting around the new stone fire pits.
Comfortable beds, book-lined bedrooms and claw-foot baths, are some of the features.
Long, meandering walks through heritage-listed bushland soothe the soul, but you don’t have to move to enjoy beautiful valley views.
With a dam, two alpacas, and century-old gum trees, Wuthering Heights is a haven of peace and tranquillity, ideal for:
Couples – Cathy’s Cottage,
Groups of up to 4 – Glen Morris
Gatherings of up to 10 – Bronte Manor
Groups of up to 6 (3 bedrooms) – Peppertree Corner
Guests can cosy up in front of the pot-belly stove, or open fire – both indoors, or outside under the stars.
Dogs will love their off-leash adventure in a truly rural environment while the nearby Riesling Trail is popular with cycling enthusiasts.
Only 6km north of Clare, there’s a wealth of wineries and restaurants to enjoy, virtually on your doorstep.
So, go and explore, knowing your cottage has a secure courtyard or enclosure to keep your dog safe.
