Adelaide Nautical College Incorporated provides a Boat Licence course including theory and practical boat skills training. The boat work is presented in the Port River Dolphin Sanctuary launching from Garden Island Boat Ramp. Our training boat is also available to members for short cruises into the sanctuary.
Our other training boat is Breathless Houseboat moored at Kia Marina on the Murray near Mannum. This boat is available for luncheon cruises or extended houseboat cruises, operated by our volunteer crew. You are asked to join the college to participate in one of our member’s cruises.
Principal Captain Bouc uses the houseboat to provide River Master training courses for people seeking skills development in the operation of large houseboats on the Murray.
The Boat Licence Course is a one day training program. The course includes theory in the morning and practical boat skills training in the afternoon launching from the Garden Island Boat Ramp.
Operates: By arrangement.
From $20 to $70
Breathless, hosted by one of our Volunteer River Masters, and the College 10 seat minibus are available for maximum groups of 10 people. Membership of the college is included when you sign on for the cruise.
The group can bring your own lunch and drinks or our River Master can cater for your event.
Members will be required to assist with the operation of the boat under our River Master’s guidance.
Phone Principal, Capt. Bouc on 0418 836 137 to discuss your proposed cruise date, requirements and costs.
