Departing Adelaide, your personalised Barossa Valley tour begins at Seppeltsfield for a privileged expedition. Go behind the scenes to get an insight to the life of the Seppelt family with a visit the original family homestead, followed by a private tasting of super premium fortified wines.

The tour culminates in the 1878 Centennial Cellar, where you will the legendary 100 year old Para Vintage Tawn (direct from the barrel). No words can describe the taste of this fortified wine. A daunting affair definitely!

A delicious restaurant lunch matched with wine is next and then time to explore more incredible wineries which only the Barossa can provide. A new and rewarding experience is exposed at each Cellar Door! You will savour wines of distinction – the best of the Barossa Valley. These may include the home of the 1843 ‘Freedom Shiraz’ at Langmeil’s, or perhaps a tickle at Rockford or maybe you’d fancy a drop at Penfolds. Whatever your desires are, it’s all here in the beautiful Barossa. With our day substantially exhausted, it’s time to return to your evenings lodgings.

We head toward the hills to our first stop at Mt Lofty lookout to see the amazing visas of the city of Adelaide.
Visit Woodside Cheese Cellar to taste award winning cheeses and for those with a sweet tooth, Melba’s Chocolate Factory is sure to please. Taste delicious wines at two of Adelaide Hills wineries whilst learning about the region and it’s history.

Enjoy a hardy German lunch in Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest German settlement. There will be amble time to explore many boutique shops, galleries, museums, cafes in Hahndorf before delighting in the extensive range of jams, chutneys & sauces at Beerenberg Strawberry Farm. Enjoy the journey back to Adelaide via some of the picturesque villages of the Adelaide Hills.

The day starts with a short drive to Mount Lofty where you will indulge in panoramic city views. The Adelaide Hills beckon as you hasten to Hahndorf for a sumptuous morning tea or coffee and cake. Visit two cellar doors, including Hahndorf Hill Winery for the ChocoVino experience (matching chocolate with wine), before enjoying a fabulous two course lunch at Howard Vineyard restaurant. In the afternoon you have ample time to meander through historic Hahndorf village before heading to Adelaide.

Enjoy a delicious light breakfast, at one of the Central Markets iconic store holders, then soak up the atmosphere as we wonder through the markets lingering at many of the providors stalls. Uncover an assortment of irresistible fresh produce, gourmet foods, along with native and exotic delights reflecting Adelaide’s vibrant multicultural influences and passion for fresh food.

We sample coffee beans, nuts and tastings of yogurt, fruits and succulent meats to name but a few, while chatting to various stall holders. Finish the tour tasting the best chocolates that only Adelaide can create.

The McLaren Vale Winery Experience tour departs the city towards Glenelg and takes the coastal route to the Fleurieu Peninsula. The beautiful mid-south coast, with its glistening visas of the Gulf St Vincent and pristine beaches heralds our arrival to McLaren Vale wine region.

Best known for Shiraz, the region excels with Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay as well as Spanish and Italian varieties such as Fiano, Vermentino, Tempranillo, Mouvedre, Nero d’Avola and Sangiovese.

We pass through rolling vistas of vineyards to visit up to four beautiful wineries in the ‘Vale’. Each one is steeped in history, with friendly knowledgeable staff happy to guide you through each wine tasting experience.

Lunch is delicious Regional Platter of local gourmet delights, paired with wine tastings.

Visit one of the oldest vineyards in the world, with Shiraz vines planted in 1843 (that’s over 176 years old). Enjoy up to four wineries/Cellar Doors and be guided through the wine tasting experience by passionate vignerons.

Two wine regions combined make up the Barossa Valley; Eden Valley for amazing Riesling and cool climate wines and Barossa Valley, home to some of the world’s best Shiraz as well as Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon Mataro, Semillon and Chardonnay. Barossa also has a long relationship with fortified wines with many Cellar Doors offering outstanding tawny port!

Langhorne Creek is one of Australia’s oldest and most significant wine regions – South East of Adelaide. The area was founded on the broad flood plain. Bremer and Angas Rivers.
Alfred Langhorne, brought animals overland to a property known as Langhorne Station during the 1840s.
The vineyards of the Langhorne Creek Region total approximately 6,500 hectares, making it Australia’s largest cool climate premium wine grape growing region. Strong in full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz, this is red wine country!
When the Bremer and Angas rivers flood rich river silt is deposited onto the vineyards enriching the sandy alluvial soil.
