Barossa Daimler Tours offer private, personally tailored tours of the highest quality with passionate wine guide, John Baldwin. John pioneered private touring in The Barossa in 1994, is well known for his humour and he loves to share his knowledge and close relationships with the wine industry, with all who tour with him.

You’ll have the rare opportunity to tour in a classic 1962 Daimler which can seat up to eight passengers, and was brought to Australia in the sixties for Royal Tours. All tours are tailored to suit your individual wine tastes and can include famous, iconic wineries or smaller family-owned boutique gems. You can be a keen beginner or a wine connoisseur!

Sumptuous lunches, afternoon tea and entertaining commentary on the history, architecture, culture, terroir and art of winemaking are included in all tours.

You can also include cheese and produce tastings, galleries, keg factories, town walks, as all tours are exclusive to one party ensuring flexibility is at a premium.

Adelaide pickups, tours to McLaren Vale, Clare Valley and the Adelaide Hills are available in a modern seven seat Mercedes, which is also a touring option in The Barossa. Accommodation is also offered with some tours.

Autumn in the Adelaide Hills

Tour the beautiful Adelaide Hills wine region with John Baldwin, an award winning wine guide in a modern seven seat Mercedes vehicle.

You’ll enjoy wonderful commentary, as John’s local wine knowledge and experience combined, ensures that your day is tailored to you and your specific wine tastes and interests. No two tours are the same and all tours are exclusive to one party ensuring flexibility is at a premium.

Small independent wineries feature in this tour, and you’ll visit three to five wineries for premium tastings, a town walk in historic Hahndorf is included and also a stop at Mt Lofty Lookout.

The region is known for its cool climate European style wines featuring pinot noir and chardonnay, which are the standouts. With its highest elevation at 660 metres, the Adelaide Hills, known for its cherries, apples and pears, has become a leading cool climate, wine region in Australia in the last 40 years.

A fine local, regional restaurant is the location for a two course gourmet lunch, with wine. plus entrance fees and wine tasting. Chocolate and cheese tastings can also be included.

Barossa and Adelaide pickups at 9.30am to 5pm, Adelaide pickups require an added cost.

Experience a day of memorable, private Barossa Valley touring in a rare and classic, air conditioned 1962 Daimler. Tour with well respected Barossa local, John Baldwin, a very personable fellow with extensive wine knowledge, a great sense of humour and who knows The Barossa intimately.

No two tours are the same. John designs the day around the particular interests of the party, visiting famous iconic wineries like Penfolds and Seppeltsfield, or introducing guests to smaller family owned gems only a local would know. Passionate commentary of the history, culture, architecture and terroir plus the art of winemaking is ever present.

Meet the winemakers and local characters, indulge in cheese and local produce tastings, and be treated as a VIP at all wineries. Tours are exclusive to one party ensuring flexibility is a premium.

With only six of these vehicles brought to Australia in the sixties, for Royal Tours, and seating eight persons, this tour is a rare offering.

Operates: Daily at 10am from Barossa and 9am from Adelaide and returns at 5pm. Adelaide pickups extra AUD250.00.

No two tours are the same. No sharing. Small independent wineries feature, as well as the large, high profile wineries which have helped to make the Clare Valley what it is today. Skillogalee Restaurant is the location for a two course gourmet lunch with wine and afternoon tea also included. Tour also includes all entrance fees and wine tasting.

Operates: By arrangement from Barossa at 9am to 5pm and Clare Valley. Adelaide pickups available at an extra cost of AUD250.00.

Barossa Daimler Tours give you the opportunity to meet the winemakers and the local characters for a truly memorable insight into the Barossa and its world famous wines. Tours are exclusive to one party and therefore flexibility is at a premium, any variations possible on application.

Full day tour includes a gourmet platter lunch at a local cellar door, afternoon tea at Maggie Beers Farm Shop, entrance fees and premium wine tastings at up to five wineries.

Operates: Daily from The Barossa from 10am until 5pm and 9am from Adelaide and returns at 5.30pm. Adelaide pickups available at extra cost of AUD250.00 per car for the return trip via the Adelaide Hills.
