Blyth Cinema

Entertainment Venues

The Blyth Cinema was established in May 2005 in Blyth (Pop. 400) by a local community group to bring a city quality cinematic experience to residents and visitors of the Clare Valley region and beyond. They have invested in the highest quality Dolby surround sound and projector equipment (including acoustic curtaining), constructed an angled floor & new toilets, provided a candy bar (complete with popcorn, lollies and cecreams), and purchased quality cinema seating (for 105 persons). The building is fully airconditioned. The building is of sandstone and is local heritage listed. In Jan 2022 they opened a second theatre with 50 seats, giving patrons a choice of movie in each time slot and to better cater for birthday parties etc.

Movies will normally be screened every Tues, Wed, Friday and Saturday evenings and Sunday pm, but they are happy to cater for group bookings at other times (eg on a week day or week night). They generally like groups to be 10 or more. Groups can choose the movie they wish to see. They screen current release movies with our program available on their Facebook page.
