The rare outback spectacle – the filling of Lake Eyre, is happening now!
Lake Eyre, usually famous for its flat salt pans and world record land speed attempts, is being transformed into an outback oasis by the arrival of water from recent rains, providing a rare tour opportunity for outback adventurers.
Departing Fridays, this tour will take you on an unforgettable three or four day outback adventure, including optional lake flights, leaving from and returning to Adelaide. The three-day Lake Eyre flying package departs from Adelaide airport and travellers will see destinations such as Coongie Lakes, Innamincka, Cooper Creek, Birdsville, Warburton, William Creek and of course Lake Eyre. This tour will depart the second and fourth Friday of every month.
The four-day/ three-night package includes: Adelaide to the opal mining capital Coober Pedy, Coober Pedy to William Creek where travellers will take to the sky for a two hour flight over Lake Eyre before continuing onto Copley and Adelaide.

Starting in Melbourne on the Friday morning, the Murray River tour will travel over nine days, finishing on the following Saturday evening. The tour begins on the west side of Mount Kosciuszko National Park, and follows the meandering River Murray – Australia’s longest river. Spend two nights on a luxury houseboat, taking in the breathtaking scenes and landscapes, finishing the tour at the mouth of the great river, in the bustling seaside town of Goolwa, South Australia.
Vehicle varies depending on tour size but will be a Toyota Coaster or Landcruiser.
Starting in Adelaide, the tour will fly to Port Lincoln, South Australia’s fishing capital, before heading west along the coast to Ceduna. Continuing west, the tour will travel across the Nullarbor Plains, the true heart of Australia, stopping at the ‘Head of the Bight’ lookout to marvel at the amazing Southern Right Whales as they come close to shore for calving (in season).
Next stop is the charming seaside town of Esperance, Western Australia where you can witness stunning beaches and scenery. The tour will continue along the magnificent south coast of Western Australia to Cape Leeuwin, where the Indian and Southern Oceans collide. Try a few wines in the Margaret River wine region en route back to Perth, where the tour concludes. Price includes accommodation, transport and meals.
Retrace the steps of the famous Australian explorers, Burke and Wills. Starting in Adelaide on Friday morning, the tour will travel to Broken Hill to visit art galleries, sculptures and movie sets. The tour will then continue north to Tibooburra, where guests will stay at the Junction of three states- Cameron’s Corner. Next stop, Dig Tree, on the Copper Creek, along the track into Innamincka. Explore the Strzelecki Track before a break at the Prairie Hotel, in the Flinders Ranges. The tour will travel south via the Clare Valley, and conclude in Adelaide the following Thursday.
