Groovy Grape Tours provides interactive tours, with local authentic experiences in a fun, informative and adventurous style, that embrace the indigenous cultures of the diverse destinations we visit.
Operations started back in 1997 with a 1-day Barossa Valley Tour and over the years we have expanded to showcase the best of Southern and Central Australia such as Kangaroo Island, Coober Pedy, the Red Centre, Flinders Ranges and the Great Ocean Road and Grampians. We operate locally in Adelaide, South Australia and work with local suppliers in each region we visit.
We are eco-aware, using sustainable practices and offering a value for money travel option which exceeds our customers expectations, while promoting Australia to the rest of the world.
Our Tour Guides are certified to educate travellers of the indigenous cultures and regions that we visit on tour. We believe that it is important for passing travellers to learn about the indigenous cultures, groups and people. This not only adds to your experience, but it gives opportunity for the indigenous groups to educate the world about their ancient culture.
We also keep it personalised by having small group tours, maximum 21 passengers.

As we jump on the bus our journey to Kangaroo Island begins. After catching the ferry to Penneshaw we venture to the south coast of the island. Explore surf beaches, sand boarding, kayaking or snorkelling and a highlight, take a guided tour on the beach with Australia Sea Lions.
This evening, we settle in our farm stay accommodation located on the remote western end of the island. Sit by the fire and watch Kangaroos and Wallabies hope by your feet.
Early morning, we venture into Flinders Chase National Park and take a wildlife walk to spot more native animals. After coffee, we head right to the western point of the island where the coast is rugged and beaming with marine wildlife. Visit Admirals Arch and Remarkable rocks. We finish off the day on the north coast at one of the calm, picturesque beaches.
The Barossa Valley is Australia’s most famous wine region. The day begins by travelling through the Adelaide Hills, stopping at Williamstown- the gateway to the Barossa Valley and the amazing Whispering Wall.
We then visit Jacob’s Creek Visitor’s Centre followed by a wine tasting experience. After taking all the famous photos we head to our next winery, Kies, a small, family owned winery with an ironstone cottage cellar door. Their wines are exclusively sold from the cellar door and we taste a selection of their range today.
For lunch, we head next door to Kies at their cellar door restaurant. You also get to choose your favourite wine from the tasting and have a complimentary glass with your lunch.
After lunch, we make our way to one of the oldest towns in South Australia, Angaston. Here we taste wines from all over the Barossa Valley at Taste Eden Valley cellar door.
We then pop into our final winery: Lambert Estate a family owned business that made their name thanks to their Chocolate port!
