A heritage-listed live music venue. Owned by the National Trust of SA and leased to Award-winning Hats INC (Heritage Arts Traditions) an independent not for profit arts/event organisation formed in 2010 to present music events and music cultural events. Based in the Clare Valley heritage town of Auburn a beautiful stone 140yr old heritage Courthouse& Police Station has been converted into an acclaimed small regional live performance space taking out a prestigious Ruby Arts Award along the way for their effort.
Hats focus is live music but we also deliver theatre puppetry and children’s shows. Hats specialise in presenting diverse musical genres in an intimate warm environment with wonderful natural acoustics steeped in history. Clare Valley wines beers and Cider plus homemade cakes and coffee are available at all performances. Hat’s program is stunning featuring performers from all around the world at the most affordable prices. Hats is part of an international touring circuit and are well recognised for delivering high-quality music events to a regional area. Recipient of over 5 Awards Hats delivers 25-30 events annually. You are also able to visit the National Trust CJ Dennis museum located in the Courthouse complex.
