The 4WD self drive tour allows you to travel across the beautiful yet rugged Horseshoe Range. The tour is suitable for four wheel drive vehicles, with low range and high clearance. It is self drive and unaccompanied.
You will have a choice of tracks to drive according to experience levels.
The tour is available daily. Advance bookings are essential. Tours must commence after dawn and return before dusk.

Horseshoe Top-End’s 4WD Self Drive Tour is a great adventure for the whole family. Experience fun 4wding clambering over rocky outcrops, driving through creek beds and climbing to the top of Horseshoe Range. You will be rewarded with magnificent panoramic views stretching from Mt Remarkable in the south to Wilpena Pound in the north.
Three lookouts are scattered along the tracks and make for the best picnic spots ever. Stop to check out interesting stone ruins and relics of a bygone era along the way. Not to mention the abundance of wildlife and native flora to enjoy too.
Although Horseshoe Top-End is only 330 kms from Adelaide and around 50kms from Wilmington, Quorn or Orroroo it feels as though you are in the remote outback.
