Light Pass Heritage Trail

Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Explore the history and heritage of Light Pass via the free Barossa Heritage Trails App.

Light Pass is a small village surrounded by vineyards. What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in charm, stories and character. On this tour, you’ll discover rustic ruins, historic churches, an old mission house, a cottage museum and much more. Explore the trail and then relax at a local cellar door.

This tour has walk and drive components and should take about an hour and a half to complete.

The Barossa Heritage Trails App features six self-guided walking trails and one driving trail. The interactive app highlights the rich and sometimes little-known heritage stories and experiences of the region through text, photos, video and audio. Explore unique locations, buildings and historic sites, encompassing both First Nations and European settlement.

The project is an initiative of The Barossa Council Public Libraries supported by Barossa Regional Heritage Network, Foundation Barossa and the Peter Lehmann Arts & Education Trust.
