Makers & Merchants Barossa

Shopping and Markets

Whether you’re a local or visiting the Barossa, Makers & Merchants emporium is a must-visit Tanunda shopping destination. Select from a curated, seasonal selection of premium artisan products from the Barossa’s most exciting makers and merchants.

A place to connect, discover and indulge in this revived Tanunda shopping landmark. Stepping into Makers & Merchants Barossa is an opportunity to step into the history of Tanunda’s main street. Schrapel and Sons established their store in 1884, with this building completed around 1910.

For decades, their emporium supplied everything from haberdashery and glassware to tractors and electrical supplies. But more importantly, it provided a meeting place for the community to come together. And that’s inspired our vision for Makers & Merchants Barossa. A place to showcase our region’s talented makers and merchants for locals and visitors alike.
