At Shottesbrooke guests can choose to indulge in a number of authentic wine and food experiences, including Explore, Wine & Dine and Wellness & Wine: A Vegans Long Lunch. Their winery is also home to restaurant, The Currant Shed, and accommodation at McLaren Vale Getaways. Their winery features also include picnic spots, award-winning wines, child-friendly play areas, an indoor fireplace, pet-friendly seating, and friendly, knowledgeable staff. They are the home of Drink, Dine & Stay and encourage all guests to linger longer.

Their unique ‘Explore, Wine & Dine’ experience is like no other. Be taken on a guided tour of discovery where you will learn about our winery’s history whilst being introduced to the future of the region and the importance of what is being done to ensure it.
This educational tour of their Estate property in McLaren Flat showcases how the decisions made by their founders almost 40 years ago have had a positive and sustainable impact on the way they produce their wines today, whilst also providing a true insight into the modern and innovative steps they have taken to protect, support and strengthen the region’s future.
After exploring the vineyards and winery, you will be hosted to a private, personalised tasting, featuring many of the wines that were discussed throughout the tour, where you can take the opportunity to find out more intricate details about their winemaking process and philosophy.
Once complete, you will take a short, guided walk through their native woodlot and vineyards to their award-winning restaurant, The Currant Shed. Here, you will indulge in a regionally inspired 3-course lunch, complete with Shottesbrooke wines and an incredible view of their vineyards.

Our Pickers Hut venue is the ultimate picnic location, perfect for your next special occasion celebration!
The Pickers Hut is nestled within the peace and quiet of our vineyards, set alongside the McLaren Flat creek and is the ultimate picnic location! Located just a short 50 meter walk from the Cellar Door, the hut can accommodate groups of up to 20. The Hut is fully-enclosed, meaning you can stay warm in winter and cool in the summer.

This interactive wine tasting allows you to journey through our fully functioning winery, where you’ll be guided through an immersive tasting “From the Ground Up”.
From the Ground Up Tasting showcases wines from Shottesbrooke & McLaren Vale that compare varietal, versatility and vineyard characteristics. As we embark on a tour through the winery, guests will learn how the impact of soil, region, micro-climate and varietal expressions have on the finished product of a wine. For example, this tasting will highlight how varietals such as Grenache can be crafted as both a Rose style and a bold red wine, even when the fruit is from the same vineyard!
If you love to taste new wines and want to learn something new, then this is the tasting for you – no level of wine education is required, this tasting is purely for enjoyment.
From The Ground Up Tasting has a duration of approximately 45 minutes and costs $50 per person.

Shottesbrooke Vineyards and The Currant Shed have brought wellness and wine together by offering a 100% vegan-friendly food & wine experience.
Beginning at Shottesbrooke Vineyards, you will be guided along a private winery tour to learn how we create our wines without using any animal products. To fully immerse yourself into the experience, you will be invited to taste wines straight from the tank and barrel to really see, feel and smell what makes our wines so unique.
After the tour, you will then be hosted to a wine tasting featuring a selection of our vegan-friendly wines in the comfort of our Cellar Door. Once your tasting has concluded, we’ll take a short 5-minute walk through our native wood lot where you’ll be greeted by the friendly staff at our award-winning restaurant, The Currant Shed. Here, you’ll enjoy a three course vegan lunch, inspired by regional plant-based and seasonal produce, while being surrounded by our vineyards and Tahitian Lime grove.

To celebrate Grenache & Gourmet 2023, we invite you to taste through our exceptionally versatile range of Grenache wines! Let our team guide you through a dynamic Grenache Flight, and explain the many wonderful stories behind the wines and vines, as well as why Grenache is synonymous with McLaren Vale.
Tasting includes:
Grenache Rosé, GSM blends, Single Vineyard Bush Vine Grenache and Bush Vine Grenache Tawny. Selected museum release wines will also be available exclusively for this tasting experience. To finish, guests will receive a Rare Tawny Bush Vine Grenache chocolate truffle.
Tastings are available between 11am – 4.00pm.
Flights are $15.00pp with $10 redemption upon any purchase of wine.
