2019 Heysen Sculpture Biennial

Walk through an exhibition of contemporary sculpture staged in the beautiful grounds of The Cedars, home and former studio of one of Australia’s foremost landscape artists, Sir Hans Heysen.

Works by 24 artists/artist teams, including 2 international artists, will be installed throughout the grounds, with small sculpture shown and for sale inside the Nora Heysen Studio.

This exhibition is curated by Adelaide writer, editor, art critic and artist, Stephanie Radok. The theme of the 2019 Heysen Sculpture Biennial is ‘Dweling’.

Artworks range from formal sculpture to ephemeral, site-specific works.

Rates

The exhibition opening event is free 5pm to 8pm Sunday, February 24 2019.

Otherwise a grounds entry fee is payable to The Cedars for access to the grounds and exhibitions. The 2019HSB does not receive entry fees so gold coin donations are welcomed.
