Barossa History Fair

Community Event

2 May 2020 to 3 May 2020

The Angaston and Penrice Historical Society will be hosting the Barossa History Fair in Angaston in 2020. As part of South Australia’s History Festival, the weekend event will be held on 2-3 May, with activities from 10 am to 4 pm. The Angaston Town Hall will feature displays by regional history groups and others who have a passion for history. Angaston’s newly restored railway station and adventure playground will be open for the Fair.

There is something for the whole family, with a range of children’s games and fun activities, guided heritage walks, fascinating historic displays and paraphernalia, and some very interesting talks given in the Town Hall annexe. Entry to the Town Hall will be $5 per adult or $10 per family, with a separate $5 contribution for the talks. The Angaston Blacksmith Shop and Museum will be open, as will Angaston’s renowned foodie havens in the main street. Visitors can enjoy a history, food, wine and shopping experience in the one beautiful town. A small bus will provide transport for those wishing to visit various heritage hotspots around the Barossa.

Bookings will open in early February. So save the weekend of 2-3 May 2020 in your diary now.
