24 Oct 2020 to 31 Oct 2020 Once Only Event
The Adelaide Convention Centre’s East Building is providing a giant canvas for The Arts to come together this month (October, 2020) with the free public screening of Blink of an Eye —an emotive short film created by respected South Australian identity and artist, Gill Hicks.
Blink of an Eye is, in itself, an artwork using the medium of film to capture the faces and the raw emotions of a series of artists who make their living from, and in many ways, live to be on stage. The film, backed by an emotive musical soundtrack composed exclusively for the project by renown South Australian musician Julian Ferraretto, will be projected onto the Adelaide Convention Centre’s East Building—South Australia’s home of events—nightly through 31 October. During daylight hours, the film will be displayed on a screen located at the front of the Centre on North Terrace.
The film was created by South Australian artist, musician and respected orator, Dr. Gill Hicks, herself a part of the Arts industry, who was inspired to highlight how extraordinary this creative community is, and how important The Arts are within our lives, particularly during this challenging time..
