Foyer Fridays is a live music series held at the unique heritage venue of Woodville Town Hall.
Foyer Fridays kicked off in May of this year as a live-streamed music series curated by multi-instrumentalist and composer Adam Page to entertain everyone stuck at home during Covid with captivating local and live music. It returned for a second series with acclaimed acts such as Nancy Bates, MANE and Charli Umami headlining.
This one-off free live gig event offers a double-billing fit for the occasion on.
We will welcome Max Savage and the Lofty Mountain Band and The Yearlings to the Foyer Fridays’ stage for an intimate evening of local music at our historic 1920s venue with two of the state’s most compelling ensembles.
Hip shaking, foot stomping rock ‘n’ roll swagger, Max Savage draws influences from blues, country and the great American songbook to tell stories of heartache, redemption and loneliness. With the Lofty Mountain Band, he brings soaring harmonies and intricate melodies with mandolin, guitar, banjo and violin.
Intimate, raw and powerful, the Yearlings are Chris Parkinson and Robyn Chalken. With a career spanning 18 years, five albums and performances around the world with the likes of Jeff Lang, the Punch Brothers and Justin Townes Earle, they distil life into music with strength, grace and quiet, unhurried power.
Doors open at 5pm
