Great VIC Bike Ride comes to Millicent

On Saturday 23 November 2019 the township of Millicent will almost double in population when it hosts 5,000 cyclists for an overnight stay as part of their journey from the Limestone Coast to the Great Ocean Road for the Bicycle Network’s annual ‘Great Vic Bike Ride’.
The Great Vic Bike Ride is a fully supported, bike-riding holiday that visits unique destinations in a ten-day ride from Robe, South Australia across approximately 652km to Torquay, Victoria. All the way showcasing the breathtaking scenery and exceptional attractions both states have to offer.
This year is the 36th annual running of the event and the first time it has visited South Australia.
The event caters for riders of all ages and abilities, with meals, luggage transport and on-route mechanical assistance provided.
Up to 5,000 cyclists and support crew will have lunch in Beachport and stay overnight in Millicent on Saturday 23 November.
