Innes National Park – Tammar Wallaby Guided Walks

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

4 Jan 2019 to 12 Jan 2019

Innes National Park is Nature Play SA Park of the Month for January 2019.

Join Innes National Park rangers for a twilight walk and learn the fascinating story of the Tammar Wallaby. Once extinct in the wild on mainland Australia, you will learn how a population was discovered on an island in another country, and how they were bred then successfully re-introduced back into the wild at Innes National Park.

You will walk with the Rangers through the old Inneston township and see the wallabies as they come out to graze after the sun goes down.

Limited to a maximum of 20 people. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring covered shoes, a torch &/or head torch and a camera (optional).

You can also download the ‘40 Things To Discover in Innes National Park’ poster from Nature Play SA for self-guided activities throughout December and on any return visits.
