Poetry Slam: A Brighter Future – Adelaide as a Low Carbon City

You have two minutes to speak, scream, howl, whisper or sing an original poem. No props, no costumes, no music: just you, your voice, and your words.
Slam poetry is increasing in popularity, fast becoming an integral part of Australia’s artistic landscape. For Youth Week 2022, the artform is coming to the City Library!
The theme is ‘A Brighter Future – Adelaide as a Low Carbon City’ and we want to see the environmental visions of the next generation.
All poets are encouraged to join us for the competition on the 13th of May. The event will feature guest judges, great prizes, and a whole lot of inspirational voices. Competitors will get two minutes to perform their own original poems on the theme of sustainability: no props, no music, no costumes. First prize is a $150 Dymocks voucher to spend at the brand new flagship store in Rundle Mall.
