11 May 2018 to 31 May 2018
Local artist Sonje Scott will be displaying a fine selection of hand drawn pieces during May at the Thorn-Clarke Cellar Door.
Sonje has been a practicing artist since 2010. Her work has been exhibited in many cafes, galleries and wineries over the last 7 years. The works displayed in this exhibition are a new style and genre for her ( having previously worked in portraiture and fun, bright acrylic / collage creations). The pieces are influenced by the adult colouring craze. Sonje said “I like the concept, as I know first hand how therapeutic art is for your health, but I didn’t want to colour someone else’s drawings or use pencils and pens. So instead I created my own and coloured with paint.”
Sonje will also be in Cellar Door Saturday 12th May (11am – 1pm) and 27th May (12.30pm – 3pm) working on her arts. You will be able to interact and ask questions and see first hand how Sonje creates her works.
Why not make a day of it and stay for a platter in our beautiful garden or stay for a tasting through our wide range of white and red wines from the Barossa and Eden Valleys.
