Exclusive. Revered. Almost impossible to find. Sami-Odi continues to reshape the possibilities for high-end Barossa shiraz. Join winemaker Fraser McKinley – a former Young Gun of Wine award-winner – for this rare look at the Sami-Odi story so far. You’ll hear about the grapes McKinley sources from the historic Hoffmann Vineyard and the methods that have seen his wines earn cult status among even the most discerning drinkers. This Tasting Table will be hosted at Mother Vine, a relative newcomer but indisputably among the great bars of Adelaide’s East End.

New Zealand-born McKinley studied fine art and design before moving to Australia and heading to the Barossa for a vintage. It was a fateful trip, one that led him down a bold new path. Careful blending shapes his wines; sites, barrels, vine age and vintages are logged and workshopped. Simple winemaking processes belie beautifully complex end results, with each bottle adorned with labels also designed by the multi-talented McKinley.
