Under the Hammer at the Angaston Blacksmith Shop

Community Event

23 May 2018 to 27 May 2018

Experience the art of blacksmithing whilst the children look for answers to the Children’s University challenge. Angaston & Penrice Historical Society has been busy building a museum at the rear of the Doddridge Blacksmith Shop to house the Holmes-Angas early wagon and Turner’s Dodge Butcher Van.
Come and have a look with our tour guides at the launch on Wednesday 23 May, offical opening at 5.00 pm.
Doddridge family were blacksmiths in Angaston for three generations and used handmade tools to craft objects using a hammer, anvil and hand bellows. Volunteers conduct tours and demonstrate blacksmithing. Open Wednesday 23 to Sunday 27 May.
Bookings required for groups only.
