Alternatively enjoy a leisurely 20-minute walk to the city centre and five minutes on to Salamanca and the waterfront. If required a taxi rank is closely located on the corner of Newdegate Street and fares to the city are approximately ten dollars. For guests enjoying a longer stay and self catering, local merchants offering some of Tasmania’s finest produce are easily accessible.
The North Hobart area provides access to a diverse range of restaurants, hotels offering live music, wine bars and the iconic State Cinema and is a perfect base from which to visit the many attractions that Hobart and the southern region have to offer including the nationally and internationally acclaimed Mona.
