Pelican Sands Scamander is nestled on the Scamander waterfront in the heart of Tasmania’s magnificent north-east coast. Situated at the mouth of the Scamander River, midway between Freycinet National Park and the Famous colours of the Bay of Fires, it is an ideal spot to explore this region which abounds in natural delights and breathtaking scenery.

Offering stunning views, these tastefully refurbished self-contained accommodation comprises three studios, one spa studio and two two-bedroom apartments, a 4 bedroom beach house and a budget retro unit, all with beachfront access, smart TVs, reverse cycle air cons and all located directly overlooking the waterfront on one easy level. The accommodation is well appointed, spacious and spotlessly clean. The landscaped grounds have walk off the lawn directly onto the sand. Literally beachfront. There are barbecues, picnic tables, kayaks and fishing equipment and a guest’s laundry.

Pristine beaches with clear turquoise waters are yours to enjoy. Stroll along the beach, have a picnic, surf the waves or swim in the lagoon at the front of the property. If you are more energetic you can take one of the kayaks and paddle the reaches of the Scamander River enjoying the bushland scenery. There is excellent fishing in the Scamander River; we are close to many National Parks, with walking tracks, waterfalls and abundant birdlife. A unique and beautiful location.
