Derwent Hideaway is a self-contained waterfront holiday house at Austins Ferry, in Tasmania’s South which is particularly suitable for larger groups and guests with travelling pets.
Set on the banks of the River Derwent, the property is ideal for business or pleasure visits.
All main rooms have view of the river and Mt Direction. Built in the 1950’s, the house has a large riverside garden dominated by two ancient oaks.
Derwent Hideaway is fully furnished and accommodates up to nine guests. The house features three bedrooms, a bathroom with separate toilet and wash basin, a fully-equipped kitchen and laundry, barbecue, towels, linen, television, stereo and free wireless or wired internet.
Fishing gear is provided, whilst bicycles and canoes are available on request.
A number of attractions including Mona, Bonorong Wildlife Park and golf and bowls clubs are nearby.
Derwent Hideaway is around 15 minutes drive (16 km) north of Hobart.
