For those with a medium level of fitness, the walk to Wineglass Bay lookout will help you understand why this area is a favourite with lovers of both nature and romance. As an alternative, the Cape Tourville lookout walk is an easy twenty minute round trip and also provides breathtaking coastal views.

Bridestowe Lavender Estate is considered one of Tasmania’s most spectacular vistas. The 265 acre site is noted for it’s manicured fields of lavender, beautiful gardens and sophisticated tourist facilities you also have the opportunity to purchase the famous and original Bobbie – The Bridestowe Bear. We also stop at Hillwood Berry Farm. Hillwood Berry Farm is an iconic, family-run farm in the heart of the scenic Tamar Valley. At Hillwood, visitors can experience the sweeter side of farming with freshly picked or Pick Your Own strawberries, raspberries, loganberries, blackberries and currants. Once finished, sit back and experience the blooming gardens as you sip on your favourite coffee, enjoy devilishly sweet treats or the famous Hillwood Berry Farm Super Deluxe Sundae.

Our first stop is The Gorge, a place of breathtaking beauty in the heart of Launceston. It’s then off for a leisurely boardwalk stroll in the Tamar Island Wetlands, a stop at the Tamar ridge Winery provides a chance to sample the region’s fine wine before making our way to Grindelwald, where you can be forgiven for thinking you have arrived at a Swiss village. Our final destination is Narawntapu National Park famous for its abundance of local wildlife including Kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and a large variety of birds.

We then make our way through picturesque countryside to the majestic Cradle Mountain, home of ancient rain forests and alpine heaths and an important sanctuary for wildlife. Here we learn how one man’s determination has ensured local natural treasures like the stunning Dove Lake are protected for future generations to enjoy. The tour ends with a visit to Sheffield, a town dominated by the impressive Mount Roland and well known for it’s numerous painted murals.

Let Daming Tours take you on a tour of the farms of Tasmania. We go to an alpaca farm where you can get up close and personal with the alpacas, you have the opportunity to purchase hand knitted garments, throws and knee rugs made from 100% Tasmanian alpaca. Off to the Honey Farm next where you will be able to view a live hive safely behind a glass viewing area and purchase a range of Tasmanian honey. Then we are off to a salmon and ginseng farm where you can taste ginseng and salmon. Next we are off to the trout farm to experience the thrill of catching your own trout (price excludes fishing fees) you are guaranteed to catch a fish. If you don’t want to catch the fish yourself or want a specific fish at a specific weight they can catch you a fish from their commercial growing ponds with a net at wholesale prices. They can clean your fish while you wait at no additional cost. You can also purchase bags of fish food if you would prefer to just feed the fish as you stroll around the park like surrounds.

On this Cradle Mountain Tour we spend the day at Cradle Mountain this gives us the opportunity to take our time and experience this pristine wilderness area at our leisure. We have a number of choices of walks we can do with many chances to take that perfect photograph of the stunning scenery that is Cradle Mountain. Depending on the weather we can walk around Dove Lake or take the track to Marions Lookout via Wombat Peak and Crater Lake a fair degree of fitness is required for this walk, while the walk around Dove Lake is an easier option while still providing spectacular scenery.
We stop at Sheffield on the way back to Launceston. Sheffield is the town of murals and we have the opportunity to see the murals of the famous Chinese and Hong Kong artists Eason, Lee Chen and Xin Yu Zhang.

This introduction to fly fishing will let you come and try fly fishing in the spectacular scenery of Northern Tasmania.
This 4-6 hours fly fishing experience will give you the basics of fly fishing and let you decide if you want to continue to the next level.
One day fishing license is supplied as well as the fly flying gear.
Pick up and transport to a choice of fly fishing lakes or rivers the choice is yours.
Minimum one person.
