Grey Sands Vineyard overlooks the Tamar Valley at Glengarry, Northern Tasmania.
Established in 1989, Grey Sands specialises in intensely flavoured wines, suitable for cellaring…and we do the cellaring for you! That’s why you’ll be tasting/buying wines of older vintages; we only release them when they are ready for drinking but still with cellaring potential. Come and taste the difference.
The vineyard is unirrigated and produces wines with maximum concentration (not maximum yield). You can visit the cellar door at advertised times or by appointment. Sample Tasmanian wine while enjoying views of the valley, or explore the gardens before taking home a few bottles of your favourite vintage.
From October 2017 to April 2018 the vineyard will be open from 1000 to 1800 for tastings and purchases on the FIRST (FULL) weekend of the month only. Other days/times by appointment…or if sign is out on the road
The garden at Grey Sands Vineyard is part of ‘Blooming Tasmania’ and the garden will be open for viewing on the above weekends also. Admission $5 per adult.
Buses welcome by appointment.
Glengarry is a 30-minute drive north-west of Launceston (37 km), on the B71, Frankford Road. Check on Google Maps
