Hillwood Road Meditation Skills Centre

Landmarks and Buildings

Not just for meditators, this is a place where anyone can enjoy the views, ask for advice or join in a good conversation. The centre is beside a creek and surrounded by hobby farms in the quiet beauty of North East Tasmania. The building was once an apple shed and the original beams and weatherboards can still be seen. The decor includes apple memorabilia and a three metre high apple mandala.
Some of our services have been suspended or restricted due to COVID-19, especially because of the vulnerability of many of our regular visitors. There are regular meditation meetings three times a week for fully vaccinated visitors who have registered in advance. For a fee, you may be able to arrange to visit the building while there are no meetings running, using the peaceful space for your own rest or meditation. There is a small country-style retreat nearby, not currently accepting guests but please keep it in mind for future months! A guidebook for bushwalks and beaches in the area is available for $15. Please contact Stephanie if you are interested in any of these services.
