Historical Sites and Heritage Locations

Jackson’s Emporium at Hamilton specialises in Derwent Valley products, a cafe with local food, visitor information and accommodation.
Hamilton is a classified historic town, a one-hour drive north-west of Hobart (70 km).
Originally constructed in 1856 as the Hamilton Centre of Commerce, Jackson’s Emporium now showcases a choice of Derwent Valley produce. The licensed Cafe at Jackson’s offers delicious home-cooked meals, cakes, slices, biscuits, jams, relish and other local products, all prepared in our commercial kitchen. Our menu includes a large range of gluten-free and vegetarian options.
