The ghost tour is a 90-minute walk around the alleyways and inner laneways of historic Launceston. Tasmania, although only just over 200-years-old to white settlement, has an intriguing convict past which you will learn about on the tour.
Many a house-hold of high status in Launceston used convicts that were still serving their punishment as servants and in some cases were not treated well. These stories will be shared on your Launceston City Ghost Tour. The guides are knowledgeable and skilled, but it is not suggested that children under 10 join the tour. There is a separate tour that is run for younger children and is ideal for birthdays and school groups.
Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes on the tour and be prepared for varying weather conditions. The tours depart at nightfall and you can bring along your camera. You never know what you might see.
