Lavender House Perfumery

Lavender House Perfumery is nestled in the beautiful Tamar River Valley at Rowella, on the Tamar Valley Wine Route.

The Perfumery is Tasmania’s only working perfumery. Established for thirty years it is a niche and unique business that manufactures premium natural lavender and botanical products including perfumes, skin and body care, therapeutic and aromatherapy products, home care and gourmet teas inspired by the love of lavender, roses, herbs and essential oils.

The fields are packed with premium lavender, French heirloom and Turkish roses and other botanicals that are grown using organic and sustainable farming methods. These are harvested, dried, and distilled and used throughout the range.

Visitors are welcome to enjoy the gardens, sample the extensive range of artisan products, and chat with friendly staff, about botanical products and scent.

Visitors can smell the different lavender, rose and herb varieties in season and view manufacturing methods, including enfleurage, drying and distillation.

Lavender House Perfumery is located at Rowella, a 35 minute drive north of Launceston. It is close to Beaconsfield, Beauty Point, Hillwood, and the Batman Bridge and is an easy round trip from Launceston seeing both sides of the scenic Tamar River.
