Outdoor Tasmania – Multi and Full day Tours

Adventure and Outdoors Tours

Outdoor Tasmania is a well-established company providing exciting and interesting day tours to iconic national parks as well as going to less frequented places that have been specially selected for our guests. Our Director, Paul, has lived and worked in Tasmania for almost 40 years and through his experience as an outdoor educator, his knowledge of Tasmania is second to none.

Our three, one day tours provide you with an opportunity to experience many different environments including mountain, moorland, rainforest, pristine beaches, magnificent coastal scenery, exotic parkland and botanical gardens.

Also included is the opportunity to get up close and personal with our native wildlife and sample our fine wines, seasonal fresh fruit, cheeses and dairy products not forgetting of course our world-renowned seafood.

Outdoor Tasmania also offers privately arranged customised multi-day tours working with our clients to put together itineraries that take in all the finest that Tasmania has to offer.
For environmental reasons and to lessen our impact on our delicate environment we prefer small group up to a maximum of 12 guests.

Our buses are Air-conditioned and our drivers are selected to provide a safe and relaxing time when driving between destinations and the flexibility to change things if necessary to ensure continuing enjoyment when there are weather changes, which are part and parcel of the Tasmanian environment

Services

This is an active day tour to one of Tasmania’s most well-known locations. To get the best experience from this tour you really cannot appreciate it fully without walking. As this is a guided tour your guide will select the best walk or walks, that in his/her experience, are the best option, taking into consideration the nature of the group and the prevailing weather conditions on the day.

Once, we arrive at Dove Lake, easy access to food and drink is not available. As we want you to maximise your time in this area we will provide you with a suitable lunch and drink to carry with you which gives you the flexibility to eat when you get hungry.

What could be a better place to eat your lunch with your family or new found friends than a picnic on the tranquil shores of Dove Lake or for more energetic the magnificent mountain vista from Marions Lookout on a perfect sunny Cradle Mountain Day.

This is an active day tour and walking is required.

Freycinet National Park is a not to be missed place to visit, with its magnificent beaches, including the iconic Wine Glass Bay.

There is plenty to do for everyone, short beach walks, rugged walks for the adventurous to the top of the Hazards, swimming at safe sheltered beaches such as Honeymoon Bay, or perhaps spot a whale or some Dolphins from the Cape Tourville Lighthouse. Meet the tame wallabies in the car park and maybe spot a Sea Eagle from the cliff top on a walk to Hazards Beach.

This is a tour with a difference put together by Paul who has lived in Tasmania for over 40 years. Paul has put together what he considers as some of the most interesting and scenic places in the north of the State.

Many are not visited on a regular basis by tourists as they are simply unknown little gems that only the locals know about. Put simply it is a mix of historic villages and places, beautiful gardens with both endemic and exotic plants and trees, some of Tasmania’s best gourmet food and drink products at the factory outlet, and a chance to get up close and personal with some of our native animals including Platypus and Echidna a chance to see the real Tasmania.

Add to this a scenic drive with a mix of mountains and peaceful white sandy beaches in the Narawntapu National Park.
