Pepper Bush Adventures also present birdwatching experiences, in conjunction with our wildlife tours in northeast Tasmania. They bring together their amazing Quoll Patrol wildlife tour and specialised birding tours in two, three and four-day nature packages. A standalone one day tour dedicated to seeking out the local birdlife is also on offer. Eleven of the twelve Tasmanian endemic birds are known inhabitants of northeast Tasmania.
You can walk the remote long white beaches of Mt William National Park in the Bay of Fires region. They hunt the elusive but fascinating platypus or tour the spectacular Tamar Valley Pipers River and Tamar Valley vineyard regions while visiting the friendly vineyard tasting rooms.

Pepper Bush Adventures present Birding Tours in Northern Tasmania – birdwatching experiences – in conjunction with our wildlife tours in north east Tasmania. We bring together our amazing Quoll Patrol wildlife tour and specialised birding tours in 2, 3 and 4-day nature packages. A standalone one day tour dedicated to seeking out the local birdlife is also on offer. Eleven of the twelve Tasmanian endemic birds are known inhabitants of north east Tasmania.
You will enjoy visiting some of the beautiful flora and fauna rich landscapes with Pepper Bush Adventures’ birding and wildlife guides. Travel to the north east Tasmanian backroads where superb wildlife and birdwatching experiences are waiting for you. Canopy Capers – enjoy the hunt for the elusive platypus, relax to the afternoon sounds of the bush chorus from nearby birds and enjoy a campfire dinner with a Tassie beverage and capture the timeless ambience of Tasmania’s forests, As the sun goes down, hear the chuckling of kookaburras and take an enchanted walk under the stars for an understanding and appreciation of wildlife movements in the Tasmanian bush. Experience the excitement and magic as nocturnal creatures appear from the bushes and trees and go about their business in looking for their nightly tasty forest meal.

Looking for things to do in Launceston – A day tour available from April to November.
At 9.00 am we depart Launceston or Scottsdale to visit the spectacular Ben Lomond plateau, the largest alpine plateau in Tasmania, and is a mountain environment with extensive and dramatic dolerite cliffs and columns. Its scree slopes, swirling mists and frost-stunted forests are reminiscent of a Tolkien landscape. We drive up Jacobs Ladder, a series of hairpin bends to marvel at the breath-taking view from the platform at the top. The Ben Lomond plateau has 8 of the 20 highest peaks in Tasmania and it has the highest drivable point in Tasmania where Bennett’s wallaby and wombats may be seen in daylight hours.
Leaving Ben Lomond we travel the Roses Tier forests to the Tyne Valley for a campfire lunch with the forester kangaroos as your lunch companions. Enjoy the ambience of campfire dining with a four course lunch consisting of a Tasmanian tasting platter of cheeses and smoked meats followed by wallaby mountain burgers and native spiced salmon with dessert to finish. Settle back and relax with a Tasmanian beverage before returning to Launceston late afternoon.

Tasmanian Tour – Quoll Patrol – Reviewed as one of Australia’s best nature experiences: See magnificent wilderness areas, enjoy a gourmet campfire dinner with a wonderful after-dark wildlife show which focuses on the antics of the eastern quoll and friends.
The Wilderness – Visit Ben Lomond, a spectacular mountain of dolerite columns and home to eight of the twenty highest peaks in Tasmania. Awesome views and a magnificent array of alpine vegetation are on offer. Ben Lomond is the highest driveable point in Tasmania.
The Campfire Dinner – a four-course campfire Tasmanian meal consisting of a Tasmanian tasting platter with Tasmanian smoked chicken, salmon and wallaby and followed by wallaby meatballs and native spiced salmon. Settle back and relax with a Tassie beverage in front of the ambience of a crackling campfire and watch the sunset to experience one of the best after dark shows on offer.
The Wildlife Show – Be amazed by a nocturnal encounter with Tasmania’s unique and endearing wildlife species: Eastern quolls, pademelons and Bennett’s wallabies, wombats and brushtail possums within reach and owls, bandicoots, tawny frog-mouths are some of the other local residents.
