Phoenix Creations

Galleries, Museums and Collections

About 45 minutes south of Hobart, Tasmania, you will find the beautiful village of Cygnet. In this thriving centre for artisans, you will discover a beautiful little gallery tucked away on Golden Valley Road – Phoenix Creations. Inside you will find the home of the gorgeous hand carved wooden Soul Spoon range-not only spoons but salad servers, knives, scoops, kuksas, spurtles- any utensil you can think of!

All hand carved by artist David Rauenbusch, celebrating the past by breathing new life into recycled vintage and green timbers. David carves in the studio and is happy to give you a demo. Michelle adds to the range with mosaic and beaded jewellery and papercraft. Phoenix Creations Gallery opens September-May, Sundays, Noon -5pm’ ish (other times by request, just call to arrange) As well as visiting our gallery, there is now an opportunity to join the fun.

Spoon Carving Workshops are available, catering for ages 6 and up, absolute beginners to those wishing to hone their skills. Dave can’t wait to share his carving passion with you.

Bookings can be made on the telephone or via our web store listed. Workshops are by demand, running all year long. Warning: Spoon Carving is addictive!
