Port Arthur Paranormal Investigation Experience

Cultural and Theme Tours

Port Arthur Historic Site is thought to be one of the most haunted places in Australia, as the many thousands who have experienced our Ghost Tour would probably agree.
The award-winning Paranormal Investigation Experience, which runs the last Saturday of each month, allows participants to conduct paranormal investigations at the Port Arthur Historic Site. Brave souls who need more than a few ghost stories to be convinced, their adults-only Paranormal Investigation Experience will give you the chance to do some ghost hunting of your own.
Tour guides recount spine-chilling stories of unexplained sightings and occurrences that have been recorded at Port Arthur over the years. The Paranormal Investigation Experience allows participants to take readings and measurements and provides the opportunity to judge first hand whether the ghost stories are true. The tours will also contribute valuable information to our extensive database of paranormal activity.
The history of ghostly sightings at Port Arthur goes back to the late 1800’s when the writer George Gruncell wrote of a number of strange events that occurred at the Parsonage in the 1870s.
Port Arthur is a one-hour-and-20-minute drive (95 kilometres) south-east of Hobart and accommodation nearby is recommended for the night of your experience.
