Rosny Farm is the cultural centre of the City of Clarence. The site has important historical roots as a fine example of an early walled farmyard containing a beautiful heritage listed sandstone barn and farm cottage.
Within our unique gallery spaces an annual program of approximately 14 exhibitions is held in the Schoolhouse Gallery and Rosny Cottage at Rosny Farm. The program has a strong community focus featuring a vibrant mix of community arts groups, professional artists, educational organisations, young people and touring contemporary exhibitions. Additional exhibitions are held in The Barn at Rosny Farm including larger scale exhibitions of contemporary art, installations and national touring activities in partnership with state based festivals such as Dark Mofo and Ten Days on the Island.
Throughout the year Clarence City Council presents a range of performing arts activities including: music, theatre, dance, comedy, masterclasses and workshops. Throughout the year Council also co-presents performing arts with a range of external festivals including: MONA FOMA, Dark Mofo, Cygnet Folk Festival and Festival of Voices.
During each school holiday period Clarence City Council hosts a range of popular and affordable arts based workshops. Activities in the past have included, drawing, acting, clay sculpting, silk painting, drumming and circus skills.
