The King Island Golf Course
Things To Do Currie, King Island, Tasmania
Rated as the Number 1 nine hole golf course in Australia, the King Island Golf Course is the original links golf course developed on the island. Established in 1932 the course is a fantastic 9/18 Hole Links Golf Course overlooking Bass Strait.
The golf course is a true links course and on a par with the Cape Wickham and Ocean Dunes Courses. The first two holes – a downhill, dogleg-right par-4 opener and the sweeping, uphill, dogleg-left par-4 second – are worthy of placement on any golf course. Players then stroll to the tee of the downhill par-3 third and are met with an expanse of crystal-blue ocean, the rocky shoreline and the emerald strips of the course.
For the rest of the round, players are left amazed at the beauty of the ocean and the challenge of the course. Even if players don’t have time to play a full 18 holes, a quick 9 hole round will give golfers an experience they won’t forget.
