The Mountain Experience

Adventure and Outdoors Tours

The Mountain Experience provides guided rock climbing, abseiling and adventure tours around Tasmania. Established by local Tasmanian rock climbers, our staff have an intimate connection with the places we guide.

Currently, our focus product is a unique half-day tour that culminates in a 100-metre abseil down the vertical cliffs of kunanyi/Mount Wellington. This adventure tour includes return transportation from Hobart, Tasmania.

This tour is suitable for anyone capable of bushwalking, old and young alike. If you can bushwalk you can abseil!

Services

From $100 to $150

Experience Hobart in a whole other way with a 100 metre abseil down the vertical cliffs of Mount Wellington/kunanyi.

We provide return transportation from Hobart CBD to the summit of Mount Wellington where you can take in some truly beautiful views. But this is just the beginning. This tour is suitable for absolute beginners. The only requirement of our clients is the ability to be able to bushwalk over rough terrain. No prior abseiling experience is necessary.

We will kit you out with all the safety gear you need at the summit. A short 15-minute bushwalk down from the car park at the summit gets you to the top of the Organ Pipes cliff and a 100-metre abseil. Once you are safely at the bottom of the cliff we will bushwalk 20 minutes down to the Chalet where we will meet our taxi service back into Hobart.

This adventure tour package with return transportation, a 100 metres abseil, all safety equipment and professional guides is provided at the absolute budget cost of $100 per person.
