Challenge yourself on Hobart’s first iconic sea to summit hike from the shores of the Derwent to the alpine summit of kunanyi / Mt Wellington.

A small guided walking experience on kunanyi / Mt Wellington with specialist interpretation of the natural and cultural values, fully catered with gourmet local produce.

This tour is a series of short leisurely walks, retracing Charles Darwin’s climb up kunanyi / Mt Wellington.

We’ll visit towering tree ferns, waterfalls, the mighty Octopus Tree, have a coffee break at the Springs and finishing with epic views from the pinnacle.

This tour incorporates in depth stories of Charles Darwin’s discoveries during his time in Hobart.

One of Tasmania’s great short walks. The tour starts with a bus journey from Hobart’s waterfront up the mountain to the Chalet 1000 m above sea level.

The walk is along the Organ Pipes Track, packed with endemic sub-alpine flowers, with views over Hobart to one side and towering cliffs to the other.

The walk then descends gently to The Springs where you will enjoy gourmet treats and a hot drink at Lost Freight Cafe.

Explore dark skies and southern stars from kunanyi / Mt Wellington.

Join us at the Springs on kunanyi / Mt Wellington to learn about our southern stars, selected events will include professional telescopes and traditional palawa / Tasmanian Aboriginal cultural sharing.

We will explore the southern night sky, starting with the Moon and our solar system. Depending on the time of year we may be able to see the planets of our solar system. Then we’ll look further out to the milky way and into deep space.

We will spend an extended period outside in the cold and advise you pack all your warmest clothing. Selected events will include collaborations with the Astronomical Society of Tasmania and palawa community members.

Discover the wonders of kunanyi / Mt Wellington like never before. Listen to the stories of the mountain’s history and unique plants and animals all in the care of knowledgeable local guides.

Be coached through Wim Hof Method breathwork and icy river plunge (by Piet, trained by Wim Hof himself) followed by writer-led journaling beside a roaring fire and mountain stream.
