Showcasing platypus to over 1000 people a year! Wild Platypus offers genuine platypus, wildlife and wilderness eco-tours. Tours are conducted by experienced and qualified wildlife managers and guides. We have spent many years working to promote sustainable wildlife ecotourism and conservation in Tasmania.
Tours can be tailored to suit your needs, from a single personalised experience up to groups of 24. Tours range in duration from 1 hour to 2 weeks. An hour-long tour is recommended to find and view platypus, with a success rate of 95% any time of the day.
Our new “Wild Life” tour is designed for those wishing to really get behind the scenes! Design your own personalised package from platypus surveying, a nocturnal wildlife survey, a tasting tour through ‘Murnong’ Tas wild foods garden- wild food gourmet dinner, overnight camping at Waratah high up on a ridge overlooking the Tarkine Rainforest with wild food catering and a Philosopher Falls walk.
