Wildways Tours offers a number of unique guided wildlife tours in Tasmania. We take you into the Tasmanian wilderness to learn about our unique wildlife in their natural habitat. We have the only speciality devil-viewing hides in Tasmania, providing a truly rare experience to see Tasmanian Devils in the wild. The hides are small shelters in the wilderness where guests stay overnight, watching through one-way glass as Tasmanian Devils, and other nocturnal wildlife species, show up throughout the night to eat, groom and interact with each other.

Our Wildlife Day-Tour takes you into the field to explore and experience Tasmania’s wildlife while the sun is out. On our tour you have the opportunity to visit several different locations throughout Tasmania’s wilderness that we have identified as especially abundant with wildlife activity.
With an expert wildlife guide you will travel around in our land cruiser four-wheel drive vehicle, as well as on foot along short walks, paths and beside rivers and creeks. Offering an immersive experience into the Tasmanian wilderness, you will get to see Sea Eagles, Platypus, Echidnas, Wallabies, Wedge Tailed Eagles, Snakes and other Reptiles, our endemic and migratory Birds, Possums and many more species. We teach you how to read the animals tracks and traces, their various calls and vocalizations, their nests, dens and burrows, their diverse habitat and where to find them.
