Tasmania’s biennial international arts festival delivers joyful and profound arts experiences around the state in March. Join us for an epic adventure in the three regional heartlands of our beautiful heart-shaped island.
The Festival opens with mapali – Dawn Gathering on the Burnie foreshore as the sun rises over pataway/Burnie and delights audiences in the West and North West from Friday 5 – Sunday 7 March.
On the following weekend (12-14 March) the Festival focus in is the North and North East, with film, dance and music performances and exhibitions in community halls, churches, barns and village greens, concluding with The Marvellous Corrick’s in the Princess Theatre.
The final weekend program is in nipaluna/Hobart and the South highlighting powerful first Nations stories alongside epic ideas in intimate settings in New Norfolk.
