Situated in a federation-style building in the centre of town, Bushman’s was the first venture for husband and wife team Steve Bennett and Leslie Price when they moved to Tasmania from Australia.
A career Chef with extensive experience both in Australia and South East Asia, Steve’s vision is to use the abundant local produce in a way that makes the ingredients the hero. Wherever possible, everything that is used at Bushman’s has been sourced directly from specialised local growers and producers on the West Coast. You can select live crayfish when in season directly from the live tanks, or enjoy the perfectly cooked steak, or just drop in for a quick snack .
Bushman’s is fully licensed and offers a range of award winning Tasmanian wines, as well as beers and spirits. At Bushman’s they are serious about their coffee, and the service is friendly and professional.
Bushman’s has three well-appointed, spacious, self-contained suites on the upper level. The rooms offer great views over the harbour and town centre and are the perfect base from which to explore the area. If you are planning on cruising the Gordon River, the departure point is directly outside your front door.
