Langdale Farm is a tiny hobby farm in the Tamar Valley of northern Tasmania, close to Launceston, raising rare breed Berkshire and Wessex Saddleback pigs.
We produce a range of premium pork products including English style sausages, bacon and burgers, which we sell at award winning Harvest Launceston farmers’ market.
We take our farm stall to events across northern Tasmania and cook up our premium Tasmanian sausages and burgers on the wood-fired smoker, serving them ready-to-eat to hungry visitors, along with local premium Tamar Valley wine served by the glass.
On the farm, we host guests in our farmstay accommodation. It’s a tranquil home-from-home designed for those looking to get off the beaten track, and explore the wine country of the Tamar. A farm tour is included in your stay, you’ll find a stash of sausage and bacon in your fridge, and our accommodation is dog-friendly.
Your hosts are Oliver and Fiona Stocker. Oliver is the gourmet farmer, and Fiona is the author of travel book Apple Island Wife – Slow Living in Tasmania, available in paperback and e-book in bookstores and online.
