Meadowbank is a farm and vineyard in the Derwent Valley of Tasmania. Run by the Ellis family since 1976, Meadowbank has many layers yet is singular in its pursuit of quality.
Meadowbank offers intimate and personalised wine tasting experiences at our working farm and vineyard on an ‘on-demand’ basis. Walk with a Meadowbank family member through one of the oldest and largest family-owned and operated vineyards in Tasmania, discussing the history of Meadowbank, viticultural principles and practices, the business of wine, and the development of the broader wine industry in Tasmania.
Having whet the appetite, settle in for a wine tasting overlooking the exact parcels of vineyard that the wine came from, and then perhaps sneak a peak in to the private wine-library that houses over 40+years of Tasmanian wine history. Lunch or dinner options available. Bookings essential.
During the cruise ship season in Tasmania, we also offer a larger-format Meadowbank Farm + Vineyard Tour. This include wine tastings, sheep mustering and shearing demonstrations, and a long-table lunch overlooking the vineyard. This tour is co-ordinated by shore-excursion companies on behalf of Meadowbank and the Cruiseline. Bookings also essential.
