Ye Olde Buckland Inn

Bars

Ye Olde Buckland Inn is located in the small village of Buckland at the gateway to the East Coast of Tasmania and a lovely 45 minute drive from Hobart. They serve good old fashioned pub meals for dinner at good old fashioned prices.

Sit and relax beside the wood fire and experience the old world charm of the Inn dating back to the early 1800’s and is one of the top five oldest pubs in Tasmania. There is also a pool room and a dining room and it has a great friendly atmostphere.

They have a free camp behind the pub. Please see the publican before setting up and enjoy a hot meal and a beer. Any donations received for camping the owner puts back into the local community supporting the local fire brigade or RAW.

Stay a few days and explore this lovely historic town starting with the Tasmanian Bushland Gardens and stroll amongst the displays of endemic and rare East Coast plants. Another historic favourite is the Church of St John the Baptiste with the supposedly 14th centure stained glass window.

Make Buckland the start or finish of your Great Eastern Journey and you will not be disappointed.
