Nestled amongst the coastal dunes and just metres from the spectacular 13th Beach Surf Coast, the Barwon Heads Golf Club is one of the region’s most prestigious golfing and accommodation venues and is one of Australia’s premier golf experiences.

The magnificent Clubhouse, listed by Heritage Victoria is famed for its ambience and charm. Guests may stay on a bed and breakfast or full board package.

The accommodation inside the Clubhouse is particularly popular with small groups who return to play golf year-after-year. These golfers comment on the level of accomplished service they receive in the Clubhouse and the ambience of the surrounds.

Please note, the golf course has a dress code which also applies for guests entering and staying in the Clubhouse. Smart golfing attire is appropriate in most areas but see the website for more information or call the Club. It is renowned as a prestigious golfing destination and is proud of its 100 years of golfing history.

If you’re looking for accommodation for families with young children they are not most appropriate in the area. The Club appreciates that visits to the beach will be made, but requires guests to respect the dress code upon returning.

Balcony Rooms

These rooms are at the front of the clubhouse near a shared balcony. On a clear day views can be had of the first six holes of the golf course, the Heads and over the water towards Point Lonsdale lighthouse and all the way to Mount Martha. They rooms do not necessarily have direct access to the shared balcony.

Standard Rooms

All accommodation is located upstairs in the Clubhouse, which is in a horseshoe shape. As a result, some, but not all, have views of the course and a few have ocean glimpses. There are several standard rooms however, that only have internal views.

Reservations will always try to accommodate guests in the rooms with views but when the house is full this is not possible. There is one standard room with bathroom facilities suitable for guests in a wheelchair.
