Located on the foreshore of Lake Wendouree, opposite the Lake View Hotel.
The museum and paddle boat are operated by the volunteers of the Golden City Paddler Steamer Museum Society Inc. The Museum is open each Sunday for showings like the Historic Ballarat photographic display. The museum can open at other times by request from the public, businesses or groups.
Enjoy a cruise on the Golden City Paddle Boat (a replica of the original Golden City Paddle Steamer). Enjoy the beautiful views, and bird life and listen to the history of the lake and the original paddle steamer, while relaxing to the beat of the paddles.
Operating most Sundays during the period November to April (weather permitting).
